Welcome to my blog and sharing time with me. I chose the blog's title "Flood Plain" to represent the stretch of land on the right descending bank of the Ohio River upon which sits my hometown Toronto, Ohio, which, as legend ( most likely self-promotion) has it once reigned the city with the largest alcohol consumption in the United States. I like to say I have contributed to that reputation literally and literally. Periodically, I shall share some thoughts and relay information on my latest short stories, poetry, history articles and ramblings.
I write in a variety in genres and don't favor any one of them, but recently have been concentrating mostly on horror the past few weeks, perhaps a result of the stark Upper Ohio Valley weather. Also, this is the genre with which I have had the most success and have published credits in magazines clear back in the late 1980s.
I submit two stories of mine on electronic sites that are fast reads and indicative of my work.
I am always interested in comments and receptive to them.
